Cancellation & Session Policy
Please review before your first session. Booking a session means you agree to these terms.
1. Cancellations & Reschedules
There is no charge for cancellations or reschedules made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session.
Cancellations or reschedules must be made in writing (i.e. sent by text or email) not made verbally. The timestamp of your message is what determines whether the 24-hour window was met, so please send it in writing.
Charge summary
● 24+ hours' notice: no charge.
● Less than 24 hours' notice: charged the full session rate.
● No notice at all (no-show, see below): charged the full session rate; non-refundable.
2. No-Show Policy
If a student does not join within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time and has not contacted me, the
session is considered a no-show. No-shows are charged the full session rate and are non-refundable.
3. Rescheduling
Reschedules requested with 24+ hours' notice are permitted, subject to availability. Frequent last-minute changes may affect scheduling priority.
4. Tutor Delays & Emergencies
If I am ever delayed, you will always receive your full session time, an adjusted session at no extra charge, or a make-up session at no extra cost. If I need to reschedule due to an emergency, you will be offered a make-up session at no extra cost, or the session can be fully credited to your account. You will
never be charged for time lost to a delay or reschedule on my end.
5. Session Start & Lateness
● Session start: Sessions begin promptly at the scheduled time.
● Grace period: A 10-minute grace period is allowed. However, the session will continue with the
remaining time and cannot be extended.
● Running late? Please send a text or email if you know you'll be late. Communication helps
us make the most of your session.
6. Group Sessions
Group Sessions follow all of the policies above. The same 24-hour cancellation window, 10-minute no-show rule, and 10-minute grace period apply to the group as a whole. The points below cover the details specific to booking and paying as a group.
Booking & payment
One person books and pays for the group. The full group price is due at checkout. The payer receives the confirmation and session link and shares them with the other participants.
Group changes
Pricing is based on the group size selected at booking and is locked once the session begins. The person who books the session is responsible for ensuring all group members attend, and for confirming attendance before the scheduled start time. If fewer students attend than were booked, the session is still charged at the booked group rate; the price will not be reduced during or after the session.
If the group size changes before the session, the applicable smaller-group rate and cancellation policy may apply. The person who booked remains responsible for the reservation and any charges caused by late cancellation or no-show by the group.
Attendance
● A late or absent participant does not delay or extend the session; it begins on time and ends at the scheduled time for everyone.
● If the entire group is a no-show under Section 2, the session is charged in full to the payer and is non-refundable.
7. Time Zone
All times, including the 24-hour cancellation window, the 10-minute grace period, and the 10-minute no-show window, are measured in the time zone of your scheduled session, which is confirmed at the time of booking.
